Lou Amatucci is a corporate, securities, and regulatory defense attorney with more than 15 years of real estate industry experience, more than 15 years of legal experience, and more than a decade of senior and executive level corporate management experience. Lou is the founding and managing partner of Centarus Legal Services, where he devotes a large part of his law practice to structuring complex real estate securities transactions. He is also the founder of CBC Due Diligence, a firm that is hired by broker dealers to conduct independent third party due diligence on commercial real estate and other offerings. This due diligence is used to evaluate and rate the viability of commercial real estate and other offerings.
As an attorney, before founding Centarus Legal Services, PC, and CBC Due Diligence, Lou’s served as general counsel to a midsized multifamily real estate company and was in private legal practice. Prior to practicing law, Lou was a managing broker of a Chicago area real estate brokerage, and he has devoted approximately 15 years of his professional career to selling real estate investments and to structuring real estate deals. In addition, he was a licensed real estate instructor for over a decade.
His business experience includes holding engineering, senior management, and executive level management positions at a number of large and respected national and international companies, to include, Unisys, NTK/ NGK, Motorola, and Varta Gmbh.
Lou holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, and three advanced degrees, including a Master of Science, a Master of Arts, and a Juris Doctor. He is a graduate of Dartmouth College, New York University-Polytechnic Institute, and John Marshall Law School where he graduated with Dean’s List honors. He is an active member of the Illinois and New York Bar associations; he holds a managing broker’s license in Illinois; and he is a former graduate level college professor of corporate law.
Chief Legal Officer / Principal
Jason Powell has been a practicing attorney for nearly a decade, during which time he has concentrated entirely on the practice of corporate, commercial real estate, and securities law. However, the largest client segment that he has served during his time in practice has been commercial real estate issuers. In addition, Jason received his legal training at a well-respected midsize law firm, and, then, served as general counsel and executive team member at two real estate companies. As general counsel, he was responsible for the execution and oversight of all corporate and real estate legal matters and regulatory compliance matters. Jason’s first general counsel role was with a custom home construction company, and his most recent general counsel role was with a real estate investment and lending company that acquired properties nationally.
During his career, Jason has represented a multitude of real estate investors, real estate investment companies, real estate funds and developers, including developers of low income housing tax credit apartment complexes across the United States, and financing institutions lending to commercial real estate investment companies. In the last three years, in his role as counsel, he has facilitated the closing of over $100MM of low income housing tax credit apartment transactions. In addition, Jason has extensive experience in conducting real estate due diligence, including title review from both the real estate developer and lender perspective, as well as representing both landlords and tenants during the leasing process.
Jason earned his law degree from University of Montana School of Law. In addition, he holds a Bachelor’s degree in Finance and Economics and a Master’s Degree in Sports Management from Montana State University. Jason is currently licensed to practice law in Montana, Idaho and Washington with a pending application for admission on motion to the Oregon State Bar Association.
As Acquisitions Principal, Mark McCann brings over 15 years of combined brokerage, underwriting, disposition, and transactional commercial real estate experience to Centarus Templeton Capital, LLC. Mark began his real estate career in Chicago as a residential real estate broker. In 2005, he founded a boutique real estate brokerage in Miami Beach specializing in the leasing and sale of commercial and residential properties. Mark sold the brokerage and returned to his hometown of Chicago in 2013 with a deep understanding of changing market trends within the real estate industry and the ability to adapt to those changes.
Thereafter, he was hired in the role of Managing Director at a boutique commercial real estate brokerage, where he specialized in the disposition of multifamily and mixed use commercial properties. In his role as Managing Director, he honed his financial and analytical skills and was tasked with guiding investor clients on the disposition, acquisition, and financing of commercial properties to achieve their investment goals. Subsequently, Mark served as the Director of Client Engagement for a nationally recognized real estate development, investment, and management firm that maintained over $1.9 billion of real estate in their current investment portfolio. While there he underwrote institutional grade mixed use projects, multifamily acquisitions, and development projects, and he participated in the planning and execution of strategies for new commercial real estate acquisitions. To date, Mark McCann has managed over $250 million in real estate transactions over the course of his career.
Mark McCann graduated from DePaul University and earned his Masters of Science in Real Estate Development with a concentration in Real Estate Finance from Nova Southeastern University. While at Nova Southeastern University, he was inducted into the Alpha Sigma Gamma International Real Estate Honor Society and was a team leader for the 1st place team for the ULI/NAIOP South Florida Real Estate Collegiate Challenge.
Mark is an active member of the Urban Land Institute (ULI,) the National Multifamily Housing Council (NMHC,) the Real Estate Investment Association (REIA,) and the Young Real Estate Professionals of Chicago. When he is not working, he enjoys riding his bike, skiing, attending concerts and spending time as much time as possible with his wife and two children.

Jerry D. Boyette, AAMS is President & CEO of BFS Financial Inc., a national Third Party Marketing firm. BFS Financial Inc. provides financial product distribution services and raises capital for public & private corporations via the capital markets. Mr. Boyette founded BFS Financial Inc. in 1998 with headquarters in Tampa, FL. He was previously a successful Director of National Sales, Senior Vice President, Regional Vice President and Financial Advisor for several prominent global financial firms, including Bank of America Investments, Barnett Bank Investments, Transamerica, and Aegon Insurance Group.
He has extensive experience with alternative & traditional investment products, strategies and capital markets functions, specializing in raising capital for numerous commercial real estate private placement offerings. Mr. Boyette has more than 29 years of experience in investment management, financial planning, consulting, raising capital and marketing financial products to Financial Advisors, RIAs, Institutions and High Net Worth (Accredited) clients. He has raised in excess of $1.4 billion in capital for various corporations & commercial real estate offerings. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Business in 1987 from the University of North Carolina – Wilmington. In 1997, Mr. Boyette earned the designation of Accredited Asset Management Specialist (AAMS). He currently holds the FINRA Series 7 & Series 63 licenses since 1988 and the Florida Life, Health & Annuity licenses since 1991. He has a clean record with both FINRA and the Florida Dept. of Financial Services. He is a native of North Carolina & has lived in the Tampa, FL area since 1991. He lives in North Tampa with his wife and three children.
